Group day tour

A guided tour to climb the Takaka Hill via ferrata.  The trip starts in Motueka with transport provided up the hill to the summit car park.  From the summit car park there is a short forest walk to the to the start of the first climb.  Your guides will provide the necessary equipment and instruction required for via ferrata climbing.  The climb is exciting and challenging with spectacular views to Kahurangi National Park, Golden Bay, and Tasman Bay.  There are two via ferrata routes on Takaka Hill.  We climb the easier "Traverse Route" first, then the more challenging "Conqueror Route"  that includes the sky bench.  Get a summit photo at 900m above sea level.  There is plenty of exciting climbing but also time to learn about the history, geology, plants and animals of this unique mountain.
